Each year, we review scores of bills introduced in the General Assembly to determine what impact they will have on our clients. Once issues are identified, we meet with our clients and jointly craft strategies to achieve the desired outcomes.

 

  • Monitor Bill Activity: we employ a tracking system.
  • Committee Agendas: these are tracked weekly.
  • Proposed Rules and Regulations: published by state and federal agencies that are monitored as needed.
  • Staff Reviews: include all hearing notices and attendance at pertinent hearings.

 

The LCA Format

 

1. At the beginning, a strategy is developed to serve long and short-term governmental relations interests. Core components are first, followed by a needs assessment, then an action plan and benchmarks (to know when desired outcomes are achieved).

 

2. We assist our clients in building firm relationships with lawmakers/staff, members of the Executive Branch, and throughout the public sector.

 

3. The use of in-depth research and parliamentary tools – researching legislation, report preparation, written testimony, position papers and memorandum – to ensure effective advocacy for our clients.

 

4. Finally, by providing accurate, informed analysis and early warning of governmental developments, we can project a profound effect on clients’ interests.
